The development of interventional treatment for structural heart valve diseases has been advancing rapidly. Over the past two decades, from initial breakthroughs to vigorous development, procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve repair, left atrial appendage occlusion, etc., have shown remarkable progress in China. Professor Zhang Junjie, the host of the Structural Heart Disease Intervention Forum at the First Hospital of Nanjing, stated that this forum is based on guidelines and combines the epidemiological characteristics of valve diseases in our country. It will comprehensively discuss the interventional treatment management of valve diseases from multiple perspectives, including the anatomical features of valve diseases, patient selection, device selection, perioperative management, and long-term medication management. Professor Zhou Ling, another host of the forum, emphasized that the content of left atrial appendage occlusion will focus on the latest theories and provide detailed insights into the intersection between left atrial appendage occlusion and common cardiovascular interventions such as PCI.
